Zari received a Bachelors degree in Behavioral Science from Bluefield College and a Masters Degree in Professional Counseling from Liberty University. Zari is a Licensed Professional Counselor in Virginia, as well as a Certified Substance Abuse Counselor. She is also certified through the Equine Assisted Growth and Learning Association as a Mental Health specialist.

Zari’s experiences have crossed various spectrums of need, age groups, and populations of clients. She has worked at a residential substance abuse facility as well as an outpatient substance abuse clinic. She has helped children that have been abused and / or neglected at a residential treatment facility utilizing sand tray therapy and equine assisted therapy with her clients.

Because she enjoys learning new things to incorporate into her dynamic treatment style, Zari is working towards becoming a Registered Play Therapist and continues to seek new ways to help based on any individual’s situation. She feels that meeting each client where they are is the best approach to help them along their therapy journey.
