Treonna received a Bachelors degree in Social Work from Ferrum College and a Masters degree in Social Work, with a clinical concentration, from Widener University. Treonna has experience working with public social service agencies, private practice, and group practice settings. She has a diverse background ranging from providing crisis support to survivors of domestic violence and/or sexual assault, substance abuse treatment, and working with youth and their families at risk for out-of-home placement to include within the child welfare system.

Treonna has training in trauma-informed care and utilizes a collaborative approach to counseling to foster hope, healing and resilience. In her work with clients, she integrates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Motivational Interviewing, Mindfulness, and Solution Focused Techniques. Treonna utilizes a person-centered and strengths-based approach incorporating client preferences, needs, and values to guide clinical decision making that focuses on the unique needs of every individual.

Treonna works with clients who have Virginia Medicaid or Cigna commercial insurance.
