Terence received a Bachelors degree in Sociology from Winston-Salem State University and a Masters degree in Social Work, with a clinical concentration, from Virginia Commonwealth University.

Terence comes to MySpectrum with over ten years of experience working in outpatient and inpatient psychiatric settings, specializing in the treatment of children, adolescents, and adults experiencing a wide range of emotional and behavioral challenges. He has clinical experience with depression, anxiety, interpersonal relationships, personality disorders, substance use disorders, ADD/ADHD, grief/loss, intimate partner violence relationship issues, and low self-esteem. Terence’s primary areas of clinical expertise are in trauma and depression.

Terence believes that therapy can be a safe and supportive environment where you can speak freely and explore challenges in your life. Through Teletherapy, he provides a supportive, caring, non-judgmental, and responsive approach to a therapeutic relationship based on trust, open communication, and collaboration. Terence utilizes a variety of evidence-based and diverse therapeutic interventions, including Solution Focused, Person Centered, Family Systems, Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Psychodynamic and Psycho-Educational Therapy, as well as Mindfulness and Meditation techniques. Terence is also trained in EMDR. Overall, Terence’s style is interactive, collaborative, encouraging, and empowering. Terence offers a personalized approach tailored for each client or family’s unique barriers, goals, and personal growth.
