Raechel Brittain, LCSW
Teletherapist
Raechel earned her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Longwood University and her Master’s degree in Clinical Social Work from Virginia Commonwealth University. She has been a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in Virginia since 2016.
If you’ve been asking yourself, “Is this relationship actually toxic, or am I just losing it?”—you’re not alone, and you’re not “crazy”. Raechel helps people make sense of confusing, emotionally intense, sometimes toxic relationship dynamics—and figure out what to do next. She is especially passionate about helping individuals untangle complex and emotionally charged relationships, including those involving partners or loved ones with traits of narcissism, borderline personality patterns, or even sociopathic tendencies. She understands how confusing and draining these dynamics can be and works with clients to restore clarity, confidence, and a stronger sense of self.
Raechel believes that people already possess the internal resources needed to navigate life’s challenges—but sometimes need support to access those strengths in new, more effective ways. Her therapeutic style blends non-judgment, humor (because who doesn’t need a good laugh these days?), validation, and supportive confrontation—the combination she sees as essential for meaningful, lasting change.
She also works with individuals experiencing depression, anxiety, stress, trauma, personality-related challenges, and criminal thinking patterns. When appropriate, she also incorporates family therapy, helping families restructure, reconnect, and heal in healthier ways.
With over a decade of clinical experience, Raechel has worked with adults across a range of settings including outpatient care, residential treatment centers, hospitals, and correctional environments. This diverse background allows her to connect with clients from many walks of life and tailor her approach to meet each person’s unique needs.
Outside of her clinical work, Raechel enjoys watching crime shows and reality television, doing yardwork, painting, and cooking.
