Maria Dierdorf, LPC, LSATP, CSAC
Teletherapist

Maria received a Bachelors degree in Criminal Justice with a minor in Women’s Studies from Old Dominion University and a Masters degree in Professional Counseling. She is also a Licensed Substance Abuse Treatment Practitioner and a Certified Substance Abuse Counselor.

Maria’s extensive background and experience in substance abuse treatment, mental illness, motherhood, military culture and life, and bereavement have brought her to MySpectrum. Maria is ready to help others experience hope and healing through the therapeutic process.

The best part is that Maria provides teletherapy at MySpectrum. From the comfort of your home, office, or any private space, you or your loved one can receive the advantages of therapy without going to an office. You can find more information about our teletherapy services here.

During the therapeutic process, Maria uses an eclectic approach focused on trauma informed care with the use of Person-Centered Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and Mindfulness. With the idea that no two people are the same, Maria uses a unique approach with each client incorporating their specific needs and goals with evidenced-based practices.

When she is not working, Maria enjoys reading, spending time with her family, playing with her animals, and attending the theatre.
