Keith Huffman, LPC
Teletherapist
Keith received a Masters of Arts in Professional Counseling from Liberty University and has practiced since 1998. He is a Licensed Professional Counselor in Virginia. He is also an approved Clinical Supervisor through the Virginia Board of Counseling.
Keith’s counseling path has taken him through In Home Counseling, Hospital Assessments, School Based Counseling, Crisis Work, and Outpatient Services. He has experience with Depression, Anxiety, Divorce Mediation, Visitation and Custody, ADHD management, Autism, Grief/loss, and “Life Coaching” techniques. Keith takes a client-centered approach to counseling where clients are guided to define and refine their therapeutic goals. Keith uses both Cognitive Behavioral (CBT) and Solution Focused Therapy, and pulls from other counseling disciplines when needed.
His passion for helping others started early in life. Keith’s dad was blinded in combat while serving in the Marines as a high school drop-out. His dad then became an attorney despite his disability. This led to Keith developing compassion and empathy from an early age and as a result, he spent time volunteering with youth organizations and mentor programs through college and graduate school.
Keith is passionate about helping others and builds a relationship filled with trust and understanding. He has a strength in meeting you where you are and guiding you to where you want to be as a member of your treatment team. Change can be hard, and one of Keith’s core beliefs is that an individual can make a difference, but a team can make a miracle.
In his free time Keith remains loyal to his sport teams from Philadelphia, enjoys spending time with his three children, and is interested in meteorology and storm chasing.
