Jeffrey received a Bachelors degree in Administration of Justice from Penn State University and a Master of Social Work degree from Marywood University. He is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Virginia.

Jeffrey has been a licensed Therapist for over twenty years, and has worked with individuals of various age groups, in the areas of mental health and substance abuse. Jeffrey is equipped to provide counseling with many areas of life’s challenges, including depression, anxiety, stress, challenges specific to women, as well as those unique to men, domestic violence and victimization, people experiencing addiction, effects of trauma stemming from abuse, combat, or other causations, discrimination and prejudice, people who identify with the LGBTQ community, couples and marriage, general health and wellness, spirituality, parenting, people with disabilities, adoption and foster parenting, grief and loss, long-term, serious mental illness, along with other issues that are important to people who are reaching out for help.

Jeffrey’s counseling style is strengths-based, and utilizes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) as his primary intervention practice, but incorporates client-centered therapy and unconditional positive regard, along with motivational interviewing. Jeffrey uses a unique blend of counseling in which he includes coaching techniques for those who desire a more solution-focused approach. Counseling those who are hurting and in need of compassion and empathy has become his life’s work. Jeffrey believes that he has been given the gift of being a good listener. The battle he fought to establish stability in his own life, prior to entering into a career as a Therapist and Social Worker, has helped mold him into a professional Therapist, and equipped him to help people from all walks of life. The battle Jeffrey faced included substance abuse, and having overcome that addiction, Jeffrey has applied his experiences prior to sobriety, and in long-term recovery, to help hundreds of clients find their path to abstinence and harm reduction. He now teaches a Chemical Dependency class for a nationally acclaimed University.

Jeffrey is a family man, who is happily married to the love of his life, and together they have raised three children who are all successful in their careers. His leisure interests include walking in the great outdoors, woodworking, reading, and following Major League Baseball.
