Evelyn has a Bachelors degree in Psychology and a Masters Degree in Community/ Clinical Psychology from Norfolk State University. She is a Licensed Professional Counselor and a Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist in Virginia. She has also supervised licensed eligible counselors and staff.
Evelyn has a variety of experience working with different populations, including children, teens, families, and adults providing the services of case management, mental health support, and outpatient counseling. She uses techniques ranging from CBT, Person Centered Therapy, and various other techniques to meet the needs of her clients.
Evelyn has been a therapist in private practice for 10+ years providing services to individuals, groups, couples, and families. She presently provides counseling to children and teens – ages 11 to 17, and adults of all ages – helping them with various issues of mental health including depression and anxiety. In therapy, she strives to help each person achieve their very best self and work through individual issues while teaching them positive coping skills.
