Eryn Paxton, LCSW
Teletherapist

Eryn received a Bachelors Degree in Political Science from James Madison University and a Masters in Social Work with a clinical concentration from George Mason University. She is currently a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the state of Virginia and is certified in providing clinical licensure supervision.

Eryn has a wide range of experience in various clinical and therapeutic settings, which has led her to MySpectrum. Eryn specializes in working with children and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities, traumatic brain injury, serious mental illness, crisis intervention, trauma, grief/loss, depression/anxiety, and she especially enjoys working with both individuals and families.

Her approach in counseling is holistic, strengths-based, and person centered in nature. She feels that every individual has unique needs and that there are no ‘one size fits all’ solutions in therapy. She also believes that all behavior is a form of communication. Her hope is that together through collaboration she can help guide you/your child to understand triggers/needs and exploring healthy coping strategies that can help build overall wellness.

Eryn’s philosophy is founded on positive psychology principals, and she is passionate about meeting each person where they are at. Through Teletherapy at MySpectrum, she will work together with you to get you where you want to go in life. Life is about transitions and change, and as you face that journey, her goal is to help you learn that you do not need to do it alone.

When not working, Eryn enjoys photography, reading, traveling, music, theatre, dance, and spending time with her family and at the barn with horses.
