Destiny received her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Virginia Commonwealth University. She then earned her Master of Arts degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Liberty University. Destiny is a Resident Counselor in the state of Virginia, practicing under the supervision of John Berry, LPC, at MySpectrum.
Destiny has clinical experience working primarily with adults in various outpatient, residential, and community settings. She has experience providing psychotherapy services across both group therapy and individual counseling settings. She is skilled in delivering psychoeducation to individuals facing challenges related to alcohol and substance abuse. Additionally, she is adept in supporting clients dealing with anxiety, anger management, depression, ADHD, trauma, and grief.
Employing a blend of cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and client-centered approaches, Destiny prioritizes the unique needs and perspectives of each individual. With a warm and empathetic demeanor, Destiny aims to create a safe and supportive environment for clients to explore their concerns, set achievable goals, and work toward personal growth.
Outside of work, Destiny enjoys a variety of activities that enrich her life. She values spending time with her family and friends. An outdoor enthusiast, she loves exploring nature and engaging in outdoor activities. Destiny also loves to read and travel to new places to broaden her horizon.
