Crystal received a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Connecticut and a Master’s degree in Professional Counseling from Liberty University. She is a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Virginia.

Crystal has clinical experience in local community mental health working with high-risk teenagers in group homes and providing crisis intervention to adults in an emergency room setting. She has a passion for the spectrum of health throughout the lifetime, and meeting people where they are at in their journey. Crystal works with people from adolescence to the end of life. She has a special interest in working with first responders and healthcare workers as Crystal served as a law enforcement officer for over 10 years.

Crystal uses a mixture of evidence-based approaches that are customized to the client’s individual needs to incorporate the body and mind. She utilizes Motivational Interviewing (MI), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), psycho-education, Trauma-informed care (TIC) and Solution-Focused Therapy techniques as a foundation for treatment. Crystal believes flexibility and choice are the cornerstone of any therapeutic approach.
Crystal enjoys taking adventures with her family and two Australian Shepherds. When not taking adventures, Crystal likes home improvement projects and following college sports.
