Corey earned his Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from George Mason University and continued his education at George Mason to obtain a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. Corey is a Resident in Counseling in Virginia, practicing under the supervision of John Berry, LPC, at MySpectrum.

Corey has experience working with adult populations, addressing a range of concerns including anxiety, depression, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), ADHD, self-esteem issues, PTSD, and sexual trauma. During his practicum and internship, Corey gained extensive experience at mental health agencies specializing in substance abuse, where he conducted individual therapy and facilitated group sessions. This provided him the opportunity to work with clients from diverse backgrounds, which he considers an enriching and rewarding experience.

As a Therapist, Corey’s primary goal is to help clients feel empowered to move forward, even if progress comes in small steps. He strives to create a warm, supportive, and empowering atmosphere while also incorporating a practical approach that encourages clients to challenge themselves. Corey integrates various therapeutic modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Rational Emotive Behavioral Therapy (REBT), Person-Centered Therapy, and Relational Therapy, tailoring his approach to meet the unique needs of each client.

Outside of his professional life, Corey enjoys playing chess, working out, cooking, and exploring all types of music. His varied interests and compassionate approach reflect his commitment to fostering meaningful connections with his clients and supporting their journeys toward growth and healing.
