Audrey earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Saint Francis College in New York, and a Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, with a marriage and family counseling specialization from Walden University. She is a resident counselor in Virginia practicing under the supervision of Keith Huffman, LPC at MySpectrum.
Audrey has over 15 years of experience working with youth and adult populations in community, academic, and outpatient settings. Her experience working with child and adolescent populations consists of providing services for at-risk youth, trauma, social anxiety, autism spectrum disorder, ADHD, and developmental delays. In addition to her experience with youth, Audrey has worked with adult populations targeting areas including depression, anxiety, day-to-day living, identity issues, severe mental health illness, family dynamics, and many more.
Audrey’s counseling approach stems from a core belief in human dignity, compassion, and respect, which she believes is the basis for establishing healthy relationships in all aspects of one’s life. In addition to her training in person-centered therapy, Audrey incorporates many holistic techniques to aid clients in gaining a deeper understanding of themselves on a physical, mental, spiritual, and emotional level. Audrey also utilizes Jungian psychoanalytic and humanistic-based approaches, such as narrative and transpersonal therapy, emphasizing personal growth and self-actualization.
When not working, Audrey spends her free time doing various activities with her family, such as traveling, going on nature walks, reading, and strengthening her meditation and yoga practice.
