Tarika received a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology/Anthropology from Randolph-Macon Woman’s College and a Master’s degree in Social Work from George Mason University. She is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Virginia.
Tarika is a Clinician with over 12 years of experience who works with kids, teens, adults, and seniors through providing Teletherapy at MySpectrum. She has worked with clients with a wide range of needs including depression, ADHD, Autism, personality disorders, anxiety, opposition to authority, anger management, boundary struggles, trauma, eating disorders, self-esteem, interpersonal communication skills, and goal setting. Additionally, she works with athletes on positive mindset, balance, and success. She has also assisted clients with resilience and perseverance from their experiences with trauma and/or injuries.
Tarika’s therapy style is genuine, interactive, personable, with a don’t “beat around the bush” mentality. She is sensitive and empathetic to the needs of others. Tarika believes in being ethical and is constantly seeking to learn. She is positive and a solution-focused by helping individuals set and achieve small tasks with a larger goal in mind to achieve.
When not working, Tarika reads, watches movies, swims, plays basketball, travels, and enjoys nature.
