Bill received a Bachelors degree in Psychology from Liberty University and a Masters degree in Counseling from Liberty University. He is a Licensed Professional Counselor in Virginia.

Bill is an eclectic counselor drawing from a lot of different modalities. His main modalities that he uses are Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, and Trauma Focused Therapy.

Bill has extensive experience in the mental health field including state mental health clinics, private practice, as well as in the jail setting working with inmates. Bill has worked with a diverse population as well as all kinds of mental health and everyday issues, which brings him to MySpectrum.

Bill retired from a Community Service Board a number of years ago, but has worked part-time since then, working with a number of organizations to help those with depression, anxiety, trauma, and everyday life stressors.

When not working, Bill enjoys traveling, going to plays, and working on the farm. Bill also enjoys doing his own maintenance work, such as carpentry, electrical, and plumbing. He is a down to earth person with insight and humor that is hard to come by. Just ask Bill, “Where do we go from here?” and see what he says!
