Nicole received a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work from the University of West Florida and a Master’s degree in Social Work from Catholic University. She is a Licensed Master Social Worker in Maryland, and a Supervisee in Social Work in both Maryland and Virginia (pending) under the supervision of Kevin Hanger, LCSW, at MySpectrum. Nicole has over 8 years of experience in providing comprehensive counseling services in both in-person and virtual (hybrid) settings for adults, adolescents, and families through individual and group counseling. As an Air Force veteran and DoD Victim Advocate, Nicole brings a unique understanding of trauma-informed care, crisis intervention, and the challenges faced by diverse populations, particularly military families. She has worked with a wide range of needs, including anxiety, depression, self-regulation, parenting skills, sexualized and boundary issues, and self-esteem and interpersonal communication skills.
Nicole is committed to empowering individuals and communities to thrive through strength-based support, compassionate guidance, and access to resources. She leverages her skills in needs assessments, treatment planning, and collaborative engagement to foster positive outcomes and promote overall well-being. Nicole’s approach combines elements of Existential, Interpersonal, Humanistic, and Cognitive Behavior Therapies. She also uses Compassion-Focused Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, and Trauma-Informed Therapy models.
When Nicole is not working, she loves spending time with her family, exploring different cities stateside and abroad, and listening to audiobooks. Her core values — faith, family, and community — guide her in leading with understanding and demonstrating grace in both her professional and personal life.
