Samantha Jennings, LPC, CRC, CCTP, CSTS
Teletherapist

Samantha received a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Old Dominion University, and a Master’s degree in Rehabilitation and Mental Health Counseling from Virginia Commonwealth University. Samantha is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), a Certified Rehabilitative Counselor (CRC), a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional (CCTP), and a Certified Shame-Informed Treatment Specialist (CSTS) in the state of Virginia.

Samantha’s vast experience includes vocational counseling, crisis stabilization, and community based crisis supports, working as an individual and group therapist with children and adults with a wide range of emotional and behavioral challenges. She has an extensive history working with individuals who struggle with complex trauma, depression, anxiety, LGBTQIA+ needs, intellectual/developmental disabilities, interpersonal relationships, general dissatisfaction in life, and personal growth.

While incorporating aspects of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), mindfulness, meditation, and solution focused techniques, Samantha utilizes an eclectic approach tailored to meet the individual’s needs. She believes that as no two people are the same, therapy should not be either. Samantha works to meet the individual where they are and empower them in identifying and carrying out solutions to create change. She believes that therapy does not always have to be serious and enjoys laughter with her clients. Through Teletherapy at MySpectrum, Samantha creates a warm, genuine, and safe space for her clients to process life’s difficulties. She values seeing her clients for who they are and loves to learn more about their story so they can navigate change together. Her goal is to help her clients feel empowered to tackle their struggles and help them find the strength that is inside of them.

When not working, Samantha enjoys walking with her dog, being an advocate and spending time with her friends and family.
