Morgan Minor, LPC

Morgan received a Bachelors degree in Human Services with a Minor in Psychology and a Masters degree in Counseling from Liberty University. She is a Licensed Professional Counselor in Virginia.

Morgan has experience working for a local social services agency, Community Services Boards, and a community agency that provide services to at-risk youth in the community. Morgan’s passion is supporting at-risk youth and educating clients/families about how trauma impacts the family system. Her first-hand experience focuses on how multi-generational and systemic issues continue to plague our community and break down the family system. Morgan believes people have the power to change if given the right guidance, support, and resources. She is excited to support MySpectrum’s vision and provide the needed services to those throughout the Commonwealth of Virginia through Teletherapy.

When considering treatment, Morgan’s focus areas are relationship and family issues, anxiety, depression, self-esteem, sexual trauma, and child abuse/neglect. She works with children ages 4-18, young adults, adults, and families. Morgan primarily utilizes trauma-focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, Functional Family Therapy (FFT), Motivational Interviewing, and Mindfulness.

When not working, Morgan enjoys watching football, hiking, spending time with family, and exploring with her dog. She enjoys movies, local farmer’s markets, and trying new foods. Morgan is an avid reader as well as documentary enthusiast. Travelling is essential and exploring new places and cultures is great self-care.
