Tiffanie Sutherlin Ph.D, LPC, NCC, ACS

Teletherapist

Tiffanie has a Bachelors degree in Psychology from George Mason University, a Master of Arts degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Liberty University, and a Doctor of Philosophy in Counseling & Supervision from James Madison University. She is a Licensed Professional Counselor in Virginia, as well as a National Certified Counselor and Approved Clinical Supervisor.

Tiffanie has experience providing counseling in a variety of different settings such as college counseling centers, inpatient settings, in-home, and outpatient settings. Her clients have ranged from ages 12 to older adulthood coping with different issues such as anxiety, depression, self-esteem, self-identity, racial and multicultural concerns, relationship issues, family of origin issues, and trauma.

As a Therapist, Tiffanie believes that her job is to meet you where you are and help guide you towards your goals. Her approach is one that is integrative as she does not feel a therapeutic approach is a one-size fits all. Tiffanie likes to incorporate aspects of person-centered therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, motivation interviewing, solution focused therapy, and feminist therapy into her therapeutic work.

Life throws many unexpected curveballs at us. Sometimes we have our glove close by and are able to catch the ball and sometimes we are caught off guard. Different symptoms such as anxiety, depression, trauma, or self-esteem issues can catch us off guard and can be difficult to cope with. Tiffanie is here to help guide you through identifying what is happening, providing a safe place to process your thoughts and experiences while providing you support every step of the way.
