Regina, AKA “Reggie Mac”, earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Government from the United States Coast Guard Academy. Regina has a Master’s degree in management from Troy University, a Master’s degree in National Security and Strategic Studies from the Naval War College, and a Master’s degree in Social Work from the University of Texas, Arlington. Regina is licensed for clinical practice in North Carolina, South Carolina, Texas, and Virginia, and works with those age 65+.

Regina spent 20 years on active duty in the U.S. Coast Guard, during which time she learned how to listen, solve problems and remain calm in a crisis. During her nine years of practice as a social worker, Regina has gained a significant amount of experience working with clients in hospice and home health settings.  

Regina uses a strengths-based, person-centered, Trauma Informed approach incorporated with evidence-based practices including Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy, Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Narrative Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing. She has specific expertise with anxiety, depression, grief, managing chronic and terminal illnesses and life transitions. 

Regina has a passion for working with seniors. She is a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional (CCTP) a Certified Clinical Anxiety Treatment Provider (CCATP), a Certified Mindfulness Informed Professional and is a certified Cognitive Behavioral Therapy Practitioner.  Regina does assign homework to get you thinking about your thoughts and how they contribute to your feelings!

In her free time, Regina practices her own Mindfulness activities, enjoys reading, traveling, exercising, the occasional binge of junk TV, and participating in local conservation efforts. Regina lives in South Carolina and provides Teletherapy at MySpectrum, for those who live in Virginia, South Carolina, North Carolina, or Texas whose insurance she is credentialed with, particularly Medicare.

Focusing on what’s ‘strong, not what’s wrong’, Regina wants to help you discover your own capacity for solving problems and improving your mood, coping skills, and daily functioning.
