Lynn is a graduate of Virginia Commonwealth University with a Masters in Social Work, clinical concentration. She attended Old Dominion University for her Bachelors in Human Services. Lynn has experience working with non-profit organizations, private practice, Community Service Board, and in the hospital setting as a psychiatric liaison. She has experience working with children, adolescents, and adults experiencing depression, anxiety, self-harm behaviors, suicidality, trauma, and life transitions.
Lynn believes in a collaborative approach to therapy as she recognizes you are the expert of your own experiences. Her therapeutic approach is integrative, drawing from evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Motivational Interviewing, and Mindfulness-based techniques.
While the thought of therapy may feel overwhelming, Lynn emphasizes that it is an essential act of self-care and self-discovery. She is dedicated to fostering a therapeutic relationship grounded in trust, respect, and authenticity.
